As a satellite of West Hills Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, we work closely with our main hospital and other clinics within the West Hills network. Our mission is to provide outstanding care for pets and exceptional service for their owners, utilizing the latest technology and medical practices. Position Overview: We are seeking experienced full-time Veterinary Assistants/Receptionists who are highly motivated and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid role combines clinical assistance with front-office responsibilities to ensure our operations run smoothly and our clients receive top-notch service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Client Interaction: Greet clients warmly, manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and address inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Patient Care Assistance: Support veterinarians with exams and procedures, handle animal restraint, and provide compassionate care to our patients.
  • Clinical Support: Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and ensure that medical supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Transaction Management: Process payments accurately and assist with client check-ins and check-outs to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Data Entry: Accurately update patient records in our practice management software.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary team, ensuring clear communication about patient care and follow-up instructions.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills with proficiency in computers and practice management software.
  • Attributes: Highly motivated, efficient in a fast-paced environment, and a positive team player.
