Teach other staff and clinicians how to use the medical record module. Perform patient chart audits, discharge billing audits, and create templates, bundles and codes within the medical software.Special Instructions to ApplicantsAttach resume and three references Education & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High School/GED and five years of experience in a veterinary or similar medical setting; knowledge of medical terminology. ORVocational/Technical degree may substitute for up to two years required experience. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact professionally with all levels of administration. Must be self-motivated and well organized. Capable of independent judgement, decision making, and performing with minimal oversight or supervision. MS Office experience. Confidentiality required.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree or an equivalent education and experience; a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Oklahoma and/or Certified Animal Medical Coder preferred; commensurate veterinary or medical office setting experience preferred; knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computers and office equipment desired; basic accounting skill and/or experience preferred.Oklahoma State University (OSU) strives to provide a safe study, work, and living environment for its faculty, staff, volunteers and students.
