Northgate Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Take the time you need to recharge.No weekend hours!Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM, with a typical schedule of four workdays per week. No weekend hours!Key Responsibilities:Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.Qualifications:Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant is preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.About Northgate Animal HospitalNorthgate Animal Hospital in Hixson, TN has been providing cutting-edge veterinary care in Chattanooga for over two decades.
