Your Role in Our Success: As an Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Nurse, you'll be at the heart of our emergency team, managing critical cases and providing life-saving care. You'll collaborate closely with our doctors and support staff, taking the lead in patient assessments, ongoing care, and discharge planning. Your expertise in pain management, transfusion medicine, and mechanical ventilation will be key in delivering the gold-standard care we're known for. What You'll Do: Triage & Stabilize: Be the first point of contact for emergency cases, performing triage, gathering vitals, and stabilizing critically ill patients. Advanced Medical Care: Utilize your technical skills in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, and more. Procedural Support: Assist clinicians with complex procedures, ensuring patients are monitored closely from induction through recovery. Patient Advocacy: Be an essential advocate for each patient, ensuring they receive the highest level of care through effective communication and teamwork. Who We're Looking For: Credentials: A current CVT, LVT, or RVT, or eligibility to obtain licensure within six months. VTS (ECC) or a desire to earn a specialization is highly valued. Experience: A minimum of two years in veterinary ECC is required, with additional experience in anesthesia and emergency procedures preferred. Skills: You're a quick thinker with excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You excel under pressure, remain calm in stressful situations, and work well as part of a team.
