Veterinarian Opportunity at the Sanctuary at Solid Rock Are you passionate about working with a diverse range of animals and making a real difference in the lives of both animals and the community? The Sanctuary at Solid Rock, part of Solid Rock Community School's S.A.V.E (Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education) program, is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our compassionate and innovative team. About Us: Solid Rock Community School is a K-12 private school with its own high school Vet program called S.A.V.E which stands for Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education. Our school, Solid Rock, has its own animal sanctuary with a variety of residents. The Sanctuary at Solid Rock provides a safe haven for a wide variety of animals including marmosets, lemurs, tortoises, pigs, pigeons, ducks, amazons, hedgehogs, chinchillas, and more. These animals receive a forever home with amazing care. We also provide services to the school community and local partner rescues to give the students hands on opportunities with domesticated animals and pets. At the Sanctuary at Solid Rock, you'll have the opportunity to pursue your passion for animal care while mentoring the next generation. Your Role: As a Veterinarian at the Sanctuary at Solid Rock, you will: Provide compassionate care to a diverse array of animals, including domesticated, exotics and farm animals. Exotics refers to class 3 wildlife which includes hedgehogs, chinchillas, small monkeys, etc. If there are some you are not experiended with, that is ok! We also have another Vet who comes once a month and has plenty of experience with them too. Participate in community outreach programs and clinics to provide veterinary services to rescue partners and school families. Things like vaccine climics, spay and nueter clinics. Collaborate with a dedicated team who share your commitment to animal welfare and community service. Teach and mentor S.A.V.E. students as they shadow your day-to-day activities, helping to educate and inspire future veterinarians. Requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree. Active State Veterinary Board License in good standing in Florida. DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure. Experience or interest in working with a wide range of animals, including domesticated, farm, exotics. Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members Patience with high school students SAVE student and volunteers Commitment to Our Values: We are a cruelty-free and plant-based campus, and we highly encourage Veterinarians who are plant-based, vegan, or vegetarian to apply.
