How this position makes a difference:This position operates vial wash/packaging production equipment. Position is responsible to supply assigned positions with materials/items to complete work and according to standard operating procedures. Position is also responsible to clean equipment, production areas, and inspect parts/items following prescribed procedures. Provides troubleshooting on basic issues and may assist in providing training. Your responsibilities:
- Operates all assigned equipment appropriately and per established methods and procedures, to include set up, operation and cleaning of equipment and parts, confirming configurations are correct, checking for leaks or other abnormalities or anomalies, ensuring proper communication of any issues or problems immediately, complete operational documentation per SOP, and tagging/palletizing/placement of all returned and rejected items as needed and required.
- Completes and reviews area production documentation and verifies all documented entries are accurate, recorded in real time, and signed as completed.
- Maintains open lines of communication with management, informing management of production updates to include deviations and corrective measures.
- Exchanges work status information within department, management and co-workers.
- Maintains a clean environment/work area by using appropriate cleaning solutions and prescribed methods and schedules.
- Ensures designated equipment/tools are cleaned and sanitized appropriately per established methods and schedules.
- Cleans and sanitizes required glassware by loading glassware into washer, to include completing wash documentation per SOP.
- Handles raw materials and components appropriately and according to prescribed methods and procedures, to include procurement of raw material, weighing of materials, verification using label that material is released for production purposes, determining amount of raw material required as per batch documentation, dispensing raw material in appropriate environment, formulating solution by mixing dispensed materials, obtaining appropriate components per documentation and handling per SOPs, completing MRT for rejected/returned materials.
- Responds to equipment alarms or malfunctions immediately by identifying alarm conditions and communicating conditions to subject matter experts.
- Assists co-workers in the production of finished product in accordance to time limits outlined in SOP's and/or manufacturing instructions.
- Receives and ships all plant uniforms and scrub uniforms for cleaning.
- Receives and stocks all garments and supplies for clean rooms and sterile core. Prepares all garments to be shipped and sterilized.
- Assists with special projects as required or requested.
- Promotes a safe and harmonious work environment.
- Maintains compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
You bring these qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent; one or more years previous work experience in a hospital or manufacturing environment or doing cleanroom filling
- Experience working in a production environment, ideally in a light-industrial setting
- Basic mechanical skills related to operation of equipment
- Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment, such as packaging, wash, and sanitizing equipment
- Knowledge of and compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, preferred but not required
- Knowledge of general computer functions such as Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, etc.
- Skill in handling several projects or tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame
- Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue
- Skill to use time management techniques in personal daily tasks and that of others
- Skill in attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, sterility, and aseptic technique
- Skill in communicating with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner
