We are seeking a Vice President of Accounting with exceptional leadership skills and profound knowledge in U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, and financial reporting to join our executive team. In this role, you will oversee our accounting operations, lead our accounting team, and play a crucial role in preparing the company for its IPO.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
* Lead the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and other statutory requirements.
* Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Coordinate the preparation and filing of all SEC documents, including 10-Ks and 10-Qs.
* Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance and integrity of financial statements.
* Liaise with external auditors during financial and operational audits.
* Ensure that accounting policies and procedures are implemented effectively across the organization.

* Proven VP of Accounting Experience: Demonstrate a track record as a VP of Accounting or in a similar role, with IPO experience within the SaaS or FinTech industry.
* International Accounting Expertise with advanced knowledge of SOX and US GAAP: Showcase deep knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit, tax compliance, and regulatory matters.
* Structured & Analytical: Possess a highly structured and analytical mindset, with experience in problem-solving through data analysis, Excel, and PBi models.
* Relevant experience: From listed US companies, and regulated financial institutions.

* The base salary banding for this role is $250,000 - 300,000 per annum alongside Mews benefits as listed below
* This role is advertised for the successful candidate to be based working remote from the USA but able to work with teams based in Europe timezones
