Salary Range: 115.38 - 125.00/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

The Hoag Hospital Foundation raises more than $100 million in new gifts and pledges each year. The Vice President of Benefactor Relations will play a critical role in shaping and executing the future of the Hoag Benefactor Program.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Vice President of Benefactor Relations is responsible for leading and managing the Hoag Benefactor Program, ensuring an exceptional experience for Hoag's most generous donors. This role involves overseeing a dedicated team that provides personalized assistance to benefactors, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate seamless healthcare services, and managing exclusive amenities offered to benefactors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan and lead the Benefactor Program team to deliver high-quality, personalized service to donors.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and departments to ensure seamless care coordination for benefactors.
  • Oversee the development and execution of special initiatives and exclusive events for benefactors.
  • Maintain and enhance the benefits structure of the program, ensuring it remains competitive and appealing to high-level donors.
  • Work closely with the Foundation's leadership to integrate the Benefactor Program into broader fundraising and stewardship strategies.
  • Develop metrics and reporting systems to evaluate the program's success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Benefactor Liaisons and other Foundation Departments.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in donor relations, healthcare philanthropy, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and patient care processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to innovate and improve programs.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree preferred (e.g., in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration).
  • Experience working within a hospital foundation or similar healthcare-related organization.
