In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive brand vision that drives business growth, enhances our market position, and reinforces our company values across all touchpoints. As the VP of Brand, you will oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that elevate our brand presence, foster emotional connections with our audience, and create a cohesive narrative across all customer experiences. Your leadership will be instrumental in positioning our company as an industry leader and innovator. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global brand strategy that aligns with and supports the company's overall business objectives. Collaborate with C-suite executives to ensure brand initiatives drive measurable business outcomes. 2. Cross-Functional Alignment: Foster strong partnerships with Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure brand consistency and excellence across all customer touchpoints and internal experiences. 3. Brand Innovation: Lead the charge in identifying emerging trends and technologies to enhance our brand expression and customer engagement. Drive innovation in experiential marketing, digital platforms, and creative content. 4. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of comms professionals and creative professionals, including designers, content creators, social media marketing, public relations, and brand strategists. Cultivate a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 5. Resource Management: Optimize allocation of brand resources across the organization, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives. Develop and manage substantial budgets to support brand-building activities. 6. Brand Governance: Establish and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all channels and markets. Develop systems and processes for efficient brand management at scale. 7. Thought Leadership: Represent the company as a brand ambassador at high-profile events, speaking engagements, and industry forums. Contribute to developing thought leadership content that positions the company as an industry authority. 8. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and market research to inform brand strategy, measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives, and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders. 9. Global Brand Expansion: Develop strategies for brand growth in new markets, ensuring cultural relevance while maintaining core brand values. 10. Crisis Management: Lead the brand response to potential reputational issues, working closely with PR and communications teams to protect and enhance the company's image. Qualifications: * 15+ years of progressive experience in brand management, marketing, or related fields, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles * Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies for global companies * Strong business acumen with the ability to translate brand initiatives into tangible business results * Excellent leadership skills, including experience managing and mentoring large, diverse teams * Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive change * Deep understanding of digital platforms, emerging technologies, and their impact on brand expression * Strong financial management skills, including experience with large budget oversight and ROI analysis * Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives and board members * Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred What Sets You Apart: * Experience leading brand and communications strategy for high-growth technology companies * Track record of successful brand repositioning or rebranding initiatives * Expertise in building brands in highly regulated or complex B2B environments * International experience, particularly in emerging markets * Recognition in the industry through awards, speaking engagements, or publications At Ironclad, we're not just looking for a brand leader; we're seeking an individual who can elevate our brand to new heights, inspiring our customers and team. Base Salary Range: $270,000 - $300,000 The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad's competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
