About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Broker-Dealer Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal entity control division, providing essential support in financial, management, and regulatory reporting. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of IFRS and GAAP books and records, as well as regulatory filings for both broker-dealers and non-broker dealers. Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of the month-end close, reviewing balance sheets and income statements, overseeing the preparation of financial reporting packages, and liaising with internal and external audit teams. The VP will also be involved in driving strategic technology builds and changes in reporting, ensuring compliance with corporate governance policies, and analyzing financial information with a focus on control and compliance.Applicants for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a preference for those holding a CPA or CFA candidate. A minimum of 8 years' of post-graduate experience in a similar role, particularly in preparing financial statements at a broker-dealer, is required. While a FINRA Series 27 is preferred, a working knowledge of the broker-dealer regulatory environment is a must. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with advanced analytical solutions is a plus. The role demands an individual who can work within deadlines and deliver high-quality work, and who is capable of managing a small team.
