Title of Position: VP, Chief Risk Officer Position Type: Full-Time, Business hours Monday to Friday 8:00am -5:00pm or as work demands Pay Range: $270k/year - $331k/year *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills* Location: Position is on-site at our Headquarters in Endwell, NY.Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide executive level oversight to the Regulatory Compliance Risk, Risk Mitigation, Vendor Risk Management, Information Security Risk, and Corporate Insurance functional areas.
- Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures and practices to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk across all areas of the credit union.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to assess and manage risks associated with new products, services and initiatives.
- Oversee the cybersecurity program and the information security framework.
- Lead the development and implementation of crisis management and business continuity plans to ensure the credit union's resilience in the face of unexpected events.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide oversight of asset protection through adequate insurance coverage, claims process, and annual insurance renewals.
- Act as liaison between insurance consultants and outside legal counsel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of business, risk management, or finance with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership and managerial role related to enterprise risk
- Certification in Risk Management and Financial Services industry knowledge.
- Experience with an ERM software platform (i.e. WolfPAC, Quantivate and Rochdale Paragon)
- Leadership skills that emphasize a progressive, collaborative, and service-oriented environment.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications in Regulatory Compliance or Internal Audit preferred.
- Working experience in banking, credit union or financial services.
