Job Description The Client Development Team of Acosta is an enterprise that manages the relationship with Acosta Clients through influencing strategies, objectives, and plans while achieving Acosta revenue targets by exceeding Clients KPI's and expanding Acosta enterprise services to meet internal Acosta Objectives. The Vice President will be instrumental in Design, Develop and Managing client strategies that align and lead to successful integration and execution of priorities by Acosta Operation team. Drives key initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial results for our clients and Acosta. Active and contributing member of the Acosta Client Development Leadership Team. Leading, Training and Developing key members of the Acosta team in all aspects of Acosta Client operation. Improve Financial Management; Revenue, Fund Management, Bonus qualification, Reduce - Eliminate Deductions. Focus on increased Consumption and Share results. Training and Development of Local Business Managers on Acosta / client initiatives as appropriate. Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of business opportunities with Acosta's new and existing clients.
- Internal link to Business Insights, Retail and Client Service teams to provide client solutions via multifunctional cooperation.
- Direct responsibility for the Business Developments team capacity and capability
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and retailers maximizing opportunities to serve on industry associations or events designed to strengthen Acosta's position in the marketplace.
- Collaborating with members of proposal team to develop strategy. Establish production schedule and developing a resource plan to ensure a timely response.
- Developing a scope of work, response questionnaire, evaluation criteria and scoring for an RFP to deliver a variety of items.
- Develop and execute lead generation plans and sales strategies for targeted markets.
- Direct responsibility for assigned accounts.
- Owns the Client team relationship and is accountable for overall client results to include overall profitability, developing and executing Acosta growth strategies / objectives, Developing the organization into a high-performance team
- Owns, delivers, and tracks their Team Client Annual business plan. Brings enterprise wide understanding of Acosta capabilities to help solve client issues and drive increase Acosta revenue. Deploys Client annual plan with clear actions and identified responsibilities
- Develops Client wiring to manage and strengthen relationship with top executives from clients, elevating the conversation to the strategic level
- Manage the Acosta value equation with the senior executive team of client, ensuring it is understood and advanced
- Recommend services and solutions to solve client business issues
- Monthly and Quarterly updates, forecasts, deductions, retailer issues
- Develops monthly summary of client business progress vs. expectations and outstanding issues
- Leads monthly/quarterly QBR process
- Initiates the strategic planning process with Acosta Customer Team Leaders and Local Business Managers. Provides direction for team resources, both dedicated and shared
- Manage the Acosta revenue, budget and P&L to achieve assigned Client business and financial goals; and to grow Acosta's total revenue, bonus capture and services share at the Client.
- Monitor/Resolve Monthly Revenue and forecast issues that may impact cash flow
- Owns annual forecast and tracking of projected commission and bonus
Qualifications
- Bachelors Required
- 5+ years consumer packaged goods industry exp. (Sales, Insights or Mktg)
- 4+ years of Acosta Leadership: CBM, Department Manager, Team Leader, VP
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Proven Broad Multi-Market/National experience and exposure
- Leads contract renegotiation experience
- Proven analytical ability with strong attention to detail. Desire to work with financial and budgets
- Owns annual forecast and tracking of projected commission and bonus
- Customer Service/Supply Side experience a plus.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands (customer, client, Acosta) simultaneously and influence associates for results.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills including ability to conduct presentations and negotiate
- Proficiency with computers including in-depth knowledge of business information support systems such as Becton-Shantz, MS Office and Syndicated Data).
