ROLE: VICE PRESIDENT, CREDIT MANAGEMENT

This role will be to document, identify, and review Investment Committee Memo s ( ICOMM ) and Procedure Standards for Lightstone s Real Estate Debt and Real Estate Equity investments ( Real Estate Investments ).

The position will report to the Chief Credit Officer of Lightstone Group and will be located in New York City.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review expected performance to actual performance for all Real Estate Investments.
  • Review original ICOMMs of all relevant Real Estate Investments.
  • Review actual performance with Asset Management Team, Acquisitions Team, Legal Team, and Finance Team.
  • Identify and document the key differences from expected performance to actual performance.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to provide documented takeaways based in the key differences identified from performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to proactively and reactively establish Procedure Standards for Real Estate Investments.
  • Continually review and update procedure standards for Real Estate Investments.
  • Participate in the underwriting, credit review and risk assessment all Real Estate Investments.
  • Ensure all ICOMMs maintain quality standards and measure risk appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with all Procedure Standards for Real Estate Investments.

KEY ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five to seven years of relevant commercial real estate experience.
  • Relevant real estate experience in Multifamily, Hospitality and Industrial.
  • Ability to identify key risks associated with Real Estate Investments.
  • Self-starter who is able to effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker coupled with the ability to dive into the details.
  • Well-organized; strong independent work ethic with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to contribute to a positive, supportive Lightstone culture.
  • Highly proficient in both writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Appropriate education credentials.
