SUMMARYThe responsibility of the Vice President is to oversee all service provisions for individuals enrolled in the DDS Community and Employment Day Programs (DSO, GSE, IDN, IDV and SEI) and market the services in an effort to encourage further program growth. This person is responsible for successful person-centered planning. They must be knowledgeable about community resources and adept at recognizing and utilizing personal networks. They must also oversee contracts, billing, and attendance records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY
  • Supervises and trains Program Director and Managers through regularly scheduled group and individual meetings.
  • Completes performance evaluations for the Program Director as well as has input into all Coordinator and Manager evaluations.
  • Participates in directing personnel actions for staff violating agency policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring and training of management for all programs.
  • Conducts regular site visits of all community and vocational services to ensure program quality.
PROGRAM COMPLIANCE AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
  • Coordinates the implementation of new day service contracts.
  • Manages, develops, and maintains day service budgets in coordination with the Senior Vice President of Program Operations and Chief Business Officer.
  • Ensures that all programs operate within their budgets.

Reviews WebResDay attendance and VSA Waiver attendance prior to submission to the State or the Marrakech Business Office.

PROGRAM PLANNING AND SERVICE DELIVERY
  • Ensures that all programs are staffed properly according to agreed upon contract agreements with funding sources.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends as it relates to individuals with disabilities and other service needs, and to act upon the new trends accordingly.
  • Promotes the integrity of people with disabilities into the most beneficial community-based program and employment settings.
  • Promotes and embraces person-centered supports by ensuring plans of service are based on the expressed interests, needs, hopes and dreams of persons served as well as their strengths and abilities in order to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Reviews and updates policy books, personnel outcome checklists and program handbooks annually.
  • Ensures individuals served are admitted or discharged in Therap within 24 hours of a program status change.
  • Attends team meetings when the management team requires this level of support.
  • Adds and resolves guardian/family/staffing issues.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree in related field and two years related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of program management and supervisory experience. At least two years of experience working with people who have a developmental disability; or 9 years related combined education and experience.
SALARY
  • $65,000/yr rate increases to $72,000/yr after 6 month introductory period.
