Overview
To direct and manage Navy Federal's Enterprise Strategy team. Directs and facilitates the development, enhancement, implementation, and measurement of Navy Federal's Enterprise Strategy. Provide consultative services and expertise for best-in-class Enterprise Strategy and collaboration with business unit strategies across the credit union.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership/executive colleagues to develop and execute corporate initiatives and/or department strategy initiatives
- Be a proactive counselor to CEO, COO, Management Council, and other senior leaders across the enterprise
- Provide leadership on select enterprise and business unit strategic efforts
- Evolve strategic management capabilities to include cross functional ways of working
- Collaborate with Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to enhance frameworks, development lifecycles methodologies and processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness for Strategy prioritization
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop, present, and facilitate content for the Annual Planning Conference
- Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities
- Select management and other key personnel; oversee talent development/succession planning
- Collaborate with leadership/executive colleagues to develop/execute corporate initiatives and/or department strategy
- Oversee and direct the work environment and manage allocation of resources to ensure adequate staffing to meet production and member service standards
- Oversee the preparation and execution of department/division AFP
- Manage merit pay in accordance with specified objectives and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in in Business Administration Accounting, Economics, or other related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Expert knowledge of the financial services industry to include product and service development, regulatory environments and standards, and trends
- Extensive experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives for a large organization
- Extensive experience in managing cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects of the highest complexity which have business risk and impact
- Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative taking, decision-making and creativity in solving business problems
- Extensive experience in identifying relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex issues/problems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience communicating at the executive and board level
- Expert analytical/quantitative, reconciliation and deductive reasoning skills
- Expert skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
Desired Qualifications
- Desired : Master's Degree in Business Administration Accounting, Economics, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Desired : Prior experience in a senior leadership role in a large financial institution or consulting firm
- Desired : Advanced knowledge of, and extensive experience in credit union or retail banking operations
- Desired : Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations, and organizational objectives
