BlackRock's Technology & Enterprise Service Group aims to provide BlackRock Employees with robust technology infrastructure and strategic workplace solutions to deliver a consistent employee experience around the world, while handling information security and data integrity. As an Executive Protection Specialist, you will:
Provide executive protection to key BlackRock executives in NY and while on business travel.
Support the Global Events Team and Corporate Security Team with executive event planning.
Lead all aspects of trip planning, execution and logistics as well as coordination with numerous internal and external teams.
Provide security to BlackRock executives in their home location and through extensive global travel.
Coordinate with our Corporate Security team on security matters ranging from site security to investigations.
Support executive activities related to Corporate Events, ensuring appropriate security coverage.
Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and security providers.
Possess excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner with groups outside GES.
Additional Responsibilities will include:
Support the Corporate Security and Events team at corporate events.
Provide executive protection services including trip planning, advance work, driver services, close protection, event coverage and coverage for business trips.
Oversee security in executive office space.
Lead executive protection vendors and maintain strong ties with law enforcement officials.
Provide security support and advice for meetings and events with executives present.
React and advise on regional security developments and incidents.
Promote security awareness and instill a culture of responsibility for practicing good security.
What You'll Need:
Extensive security experience and expertise dealing with senior executives.
Experience planning and executing trips and events, handling emergencies.
Previous law enforcement, military or executive protection experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years in the public safety, law enforcement or security field.
Certification or ability to obtain certification as an Armed Security Officer.
Experience working for C-Suite executives in executive protection.
Executive driving experience and experience providing advance coverage for events and trips.
Availability during evenings and weekends for emergencies.
Ability to align with HR 218 (the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act).
A strong network across security personnel at peer financial institutions.
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $175,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
