02/15/2022Application Due:Open Until FilledCategory:Facilities ManagementRoswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell) is seeking a dynamic, experienced executive to serve as its Vice President, Facilities Management (VP). Roswell is a nationally ranked NCI-Comprehensive Cancer Center located on 29 acres in Buffalo, New York with an annual operating budget of $1B. The main campus includes surgical, inpatient, and outpatient facilities, cutting edge research facilities, and academic and administrative facilities. The VP reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.The VP is responsible for leading the FM Division which oversees about 2.5M GSF of campus space, 250 employees and agency staff, an annual capital budget of $20M to $30M, and an operating budget of about $30M. FM operates as an appropriated function. The capital budget consists of multiple funding sources including an annual appropriation, State and Federal grants, Development funding, and Inter-department Transfer funding. Departments reporting to the VP include Facilities Planning, Capital Projects, Engineering and Maintenance, Utilities, Service Contracts and Compliance, Environmental Services, and Public Safety, Parking and Transportation. Additional functions which fall within the aforementioned groups and for which the VP is responsible include Life Safety elements of The Joint Commission compliance program, fleet management, snow removal, energy conservation, interior design, patient transportation, recycling, real estate, space assignment and utilization, management, DEC compliance, event management, facilities-related municipal relations, and others.The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading a diverse team of highly effective, experienced, self-actualized professional staff. Candidates should possess outstanding communication and relationship building skills, a passion for stewardship of the campus infrastructure, and be a strong advocate for strategic positions adopted by the chain of command.Ideal candidates will possess the following:A minimum of ten years of significant leadership experience in a healthcare, hospital, and/or university setting.Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture to include Professional Registration or Licensing.
