The Role
Responsible for the direct oversight of Financial Reporting for US assets as well as the US Management Company, ensuring internal controls over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee a team of US Finance personnel. Provide hands on support for the US team. Advise them on all finance-related matters, including day to day financial operations.
Oversee the US financial operations supporting the US CFO (including resources and infrastructure) and ensure its operating effectiveness and efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and analysis of financial performance.
Assist with preparation of annual budgeting and the re-forecasting process
Assist and support the treasury function including cash management.
Spearhead initiatives pertaining to financial controls and corporate governance for the United States operations.
Provide financial advice and support in a timely manner to the business partners, liaise with auditors and tax consultants on audit and taxation matters.
Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls are in place, and being adhered, to safeguarding the company's interest and compliance with corporate policies (e.g. Finance Standard Operating Procedures, Delegation of Authority, etc).
Keep abreast of key changes in accounting and taxation regulations and provide support in rolling out group initiatives.
Support the business and management in any business analysis, projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Liaise with external property management company to ensure accurate financial reporting and standard compliance is being respected.
Manage the annual year end group audit reporting, and local audit process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Job Requirements
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Minimum of 12 years relevant accounting and / or audit experience with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
Possess extensive knowledge from prior working experiences in the real estate industry.
Highly skilled in use of MS Office and accounting software applications, extensive SAP experience will have an added advantage
Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS knowledge as well as other accounting regulatory requirements.
Candidate will need to take a hands-on approach with the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Possess good sense of business acumen, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Candidates with REIT and international experience will have an added advantage

Compensation Data
The annual base compensation range for this role sits between: $180,000 - $200,000
This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Mapletree. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including previous work experience, specific industry experience, relevant skills, training and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. In addition to salary and a competitive employee benefits package, candidates may also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
