Job Description: Director of Finance
Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Director of Finance who will take charge of our company's financial health by developing and executing financial strategies that support our goals. As an integral member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will lead financial operations, deliver insightful analysis and reporting, and ensure the sustainability of our business through innovative fiscal management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Craft and execute financial strategies that complement our mission to revolutionize the gifting experience with cutting-edge technology, promoting both growth and financial targets.
- Perform comprehensive financial analyses, including modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with a dedication to data-driven progress and innovation.
- Manage the advancement and implementation of robust financial and accounting systems, processes, policies, and controls, guaranteeing financial reporting accuracy and adherence to the utmost standards.
- Financial Stewardship and Reporting:
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth and potential cost reductions.
- Translate intricate financial data into practical insights and compelling narratives for executive presentations.
- Oversee the budgeting procedure to promote departmental accountability and adherence to regulations.
- Financial Operations and Sustainability:
- Spearhead the financial reporting process to ensure prompt, precise, and forthright disclosure of our financial status, embodying a culture of radical honesty and candor.
- Advance cash flow management strategies that cater to our evolving business demands while cultivating robust banking and vendor partnerships.
- Lead the finance team's functions with an approach that fosters autonomous development and a collaborative work culture.
- E-Commerce and Retail Financial Integration:
- Construct and manage financial models that consolidate B2B SaaS, e-commerce, and retail operations, achieving a unified financial reporting structure across all divisions.
- Analyze and report on the financial outcomes of e-commerce activities and retail operations, discerning trends, potentialities, and areas necessitating enhancement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in business, finance, or related discipline with 5-10 years of experience in a senior financial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting with a commitment to ethical and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in using Sage Intacct is mandatory.
- A Master s degree or higher in a related field with extensive experience in leading finance functions within a tech-centric environment is preferable.
- Must have experience in e-commerce, particularly in areas emphasizing customer experience and personalized services. Prior experience in a high-growth startup setting is highly advantageous.
- Proven capability to narrate stories with financial data and formulate executive-level presentations.
- Note: This is a hybrid role, necessitating up to 3 days per week in the office. Applicants must reside within 60 miles of Hopewell Junction, NY.
