About the Role

The Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance) will be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team and drive Pediatrica Health Group's financial success and sustainability. This role requires a seasoned financial professional with deep expertise in healthcare finance, strategic financial planning ability, and a proven track record in leading financial operations within healthcare organizations.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement long-term financial strategies that align with Pediatrica Health Group's mission and growth objectives.
  • Provide insights into business development, market expansion, and investment opportunities to support sustainable growth.
  • Advise the executive team on financial planning, resource allocation, and risk management to drive informed decision-making.

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring efficient financial operations and resource management.
  • Drive improvements in the revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and reimbursement strategies to maximize cash flow.
  • Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Financial Management

  • Lead the budgeting process, working collaboratively with department heads to establish financial targets.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital to ensure financial stability and sustainability.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leaders on financial and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and forecasts to the executive team and investors.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess and enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.

Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all healthcare finance regulations and standards, including GAAP and federal/state compliance.
  • Oversee internal controls and audit processes to maintain transparency and safeguard assets.
  • Lead the organization through external audits and ensure successful outcomes.

Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team that exemplifies Pediatrica Health Group's values and culture.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Performance Metrics

  • Establish key financial performance indicators to monitor the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Track and evaluate financial outcomes against established goals, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine and improve financial strategies continuously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, with 5+ years in healthcare finance.

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare finance and revenue cycle management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on strategic planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in financial software with experience implementing financial technology solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of finance team members, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
