We do this across four 4 pillars: •Strategic Insights: Discovering the commercial value of emerging technologies and end customer insights through research and strategic partnerships•Product Development: Differentiating Mastercard in the eyes of our customers through content and services. •Customer Engagement: Derisking the introduction of new products and services through agile development, customer centric research, insights and experiences. •Growth Operating System: Enhancing our growth operating system through skills development, best practices, tools and infrastructure The VP, Foundry Chief of Staff is a key member of the Foundry Senior Management Team (SMT) and reports directly to the Chief Innovation Officer. Leading a small team, the role combines the responsibilities of Strategy Lead, Chief of Staff and Innovation Management in one role. RoleStrategy:•Plays a critical role as part of the Foundry senior management team to define Foundry's goals and objectives and ensures the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Communicates Foundry objectives and progress across Foundry and other Mastercard teams.•Supports Chief Innovation Office on engagements in partnership with Foundry's Customer Engagement & Innovation Enable team•Must offer a strong voice and provide perspectives on strategic areas based on macro-economic or technology trends impacting payments and commerce•Must ensure that all elements of Foundry strategy are translated into measurable and actionable plans and holds self and other members of the Foundry SMT accountable for delivery•Ensures Foundry portfolio governance through tracking the product development pipeline and progress across Studio stages. Operations:•Works with Foundry's business partners to lead all matters related to finance, personnel, reporting and communications globally •Facilitates resourcing and prioritization across portfolios, Research & Delivery and Customer Experience & Design, ensuring the balance between discovery and delivery •Responsible for delivering Foundry townhalls, Foundry knowledge sharing sessions, senior management workshops as well as supporting other Mastercard global sessions with speakers from the Foundry SMT •Execution of this role includes (but not limited to) activities such as: investment community materials, webcasts, quarterly reporting to Chief Services Officer and CEO level, management committee / board level documentation, or customer briefing documentationsInnovation Management:•Leads Product Council process for Foundry, ensuring all Foundry products are validated against Desirability, Feasibility, Viability (DFV) and acts as the Studio liaison for Foundry portfolios. •Runs Foundry team culture initiatives, ensuring Foundry teams continue to collaborate across teams and ensures a feedback loop through surveys, focus groups•Responsible for the delivery of employee innovation engagement across Mastercard together cross-functional partners All About YouThe successful candidates will possess the following skills and competencies:•INNOVATIVE: Not afraid to challenge the status quo, question assumptions and generate new ideas by looking at issues from multiple angles•CURIOUS: Open to learning and exploring new technologies, information and practices; interested in understanding how things work •FLEXIBLE: Remains engaged during stressful situations brought on by ambiguity and conflict •COURAGEOUS: Takes calculated risks and purposefully puts self in challenging situations where success is not always guaranteed •CONNECTOR: Takes time to reflect on experiences; spends focused energy processing information, gaining deeper insights into problems, themselves and others as a result •COMMERCIAL: Has a strong sense of commercial value both for clients and for Mastercard and can create value propositions that translate between theseAnd have/be: •Critical thinker, curious about the world and able to translate curiosity into strategic issues and to resolve by working with others to create actionable outputs•Highly organized, can manage multiple efforts in a structured way and able to independently deliver responsibilities on time•Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to confidently work across all levels and to tailor message depending on audience and objective. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
