Our client seeks a dynamic VP of Public Relations to lead a team and drive impactful communication strategies specifically for their pharma clients. Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, you'll play a vital role in shaping and executing integrated PR campaigns that elevate brand visibility, manage reputational risks, and build meaningful connections with target audiences.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client objectives, leveraging research-driven insights.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, overseeing day-to-day operations and project management.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic counsel on communication initiatives and crisis management.

Market Research Expertise:

  • Utilize market research methods to analyze audience perceptions, trends, and behaviors, informing strategic PR approaches.

New Business Development:

  • Drive efforts to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, leveraging existing networks and industry relationships.

Content Development:

  • Oversee the creation of compelling press releases, thought leadership articles, and other PR materials.

Measurement and Reporting:

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and track media coverage.

Industry Thought Leadership:

  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in public relations, sharing insights internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; Master s degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in public relations, with a proven track record of leading successful PR campaigns and managing client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Extensive media relations experience and market research expertise.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for creativity and innovation in PR.
