Vice President of Construction

RETS Associates on behalf of our client, a national leader in transformational land development projects, is recruiting a Vice President in their Germantown, MD office. This position will oversee all on-site activities for large-scale horizontal construction projects, including infrastructure development, road construction, and land development. This role requires extensive experience in managing construction operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in horizontal construction, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of construction experience, with an emphasis on civil / horizontal construction,. Proven track record of successful project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, Local and State Agencies, and Health and Safety codes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Excel and MS Project
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
