Overview:Prepares and coordinates all functions related to managing Agency funding from government or private contracts.Reports To: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)Location: 305 Seventh Avenue, New York, NYHours: 35 Hours/Week; ExemptSalary: $130,000/Year to $150,000/YearMajor Responsibilities: Prepare annual Agency budgetDevelop private fundraising budgetsDevelop RFP budgetsReview and oversee the development of annual budgets and billings for all Agency government contracts through supervision of Director/Assistant Director, Contracts and BudgetsMonitor timeline for budgets, modifications and billing to ensure timely budget submission, meeting all deadlinesMonitor all spending and contract funding utilization monthlyLead quarterly budget meetings with program leadership to ensure best practice and use of agency revenueAssure accurate budget and spending representation in agency financial softwareEnsure agency wide allocations are prepared accurately through analysis and journal entries made in agency financial softwareAssist CFO in financial statement analysisWork closely with the GAP department to monitor outstanding funding issuesContact government agencies as necessary to ensure Agency meets all guidelinesCollaborate with colleagues across program and administrative departmentsManage Finance Contracts and Budgets department employees through monthly staff meetings and individual supervision to assure effective manpower utilizationPerform other related duties as assigned by CFO QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent plus 2 plus years experienceExperience in budgetary and accounting analysisExcellent computer/technical skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelUnderstanding of government requirements as related to a social service agencyDemonstrated analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlinesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Additional Information:Good Shepherd Services is an equal opportunity employer that is proudly committed to becoming an anti-racist and multicultural organization that stands up for justice and equity.
