Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Lead the finance department and oversee all financial operations including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans for the growth of the company.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
- Create budgets and forecasts, and manage the cash flow of the company.
- Oversee audit and internal control processes.
- Develop strategies to maximize ROI and meet the company's financial objectives.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
- Implement and manage financial systems and software (QuickBooks, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team.
- Manage and monitor all open financial issues relating to the growth and scale of the company.
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies for the company to achieve its financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax, audit, accounting, budget, cash flow, forecast, regulatory and regulation, payroll, growth, scale, and related finance principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence - ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience in managing the finances of a growing company, including managing cash flow, creating forecasts and budgets, and preparing financial reports.
- Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
