Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP Finance is responsible for: Oversight of all financial accounting, payroll, accounts payable, financial decision support & budgets, capital planning & finance, and financial reporting functions. Leads the preparation of all internal and external financial reports to key stakeholders and regulatory agencies, in accordance with current accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates the focus and drive to actively respond to and plan for changes in the financial environment as may be necessary. Leads information technology oversight for Enterprise Resource Planning, financial and cost accounting, revenue cycle and supply chain management (leads procure to pay component of supply chain while the Chief Administrative Officer of Ancillary Services is responsible for supply chain logistics and inventory management), payroll, accounts payable, financial decision support, and financial benchmarking applications, in collaboration with the Chief Information Officer. In collaboration with senior leadership team, supports the strategic and tactical direction of financial and capital planning for John Muir Health system to assist in achieving its strategic goals. Acting responsively to and taking direction from the respective entitys senior leadership team. Oversees selected functional areas for the Optum partnership in the areas of Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain Management for the Procure to Pay component (Chief Administrative Officer of Ancillary Services is responsible for Supply Chain Logistics), and Business Analytics. Education: Bachelor's Degree Accounting / Finance - Required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field - Required Master's Degree Master of Business Administration Preferred CPA - Certified Public Accountant - Preferred Experience: 7 years Finance: Accounting, Budgeting, and Capital Planning or Finance - Financial Management in Hospital and/or Ambulatory Setting - Required Skills: Requires excellent communications and mediation skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and political savvy with an inclusive and collaborative style. Analytical skills and knowledge of financial information systems is essential. Ability to maintain confidential information. Excellent customer relationship skills and proven ability to partner with senior leadership customers. Creates and supports a work environment that fosters teamwork and engages staff in ensuring quality care while maintaining individual accountability. Demonstrated HR analytical and problem-solving skills. Work Shift: Exempt Salaried (United States of America) Pay Range: $301,600.00 - $452,400.00 Salary Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word exempt on it. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
