To facilitate this mission, the Vice President of Human Resources ( HR ) will work with the executive leadership team to develop innovative and creative strategies and solutions for building, developing, and retaining exceptional teams. The Vice President of HR also provides executive level leadership and guidance to Buckle's HR operations and is responsible for establishing, enforcing, and executing human resources policies, procedures, and best practices that support Buckle's business goals.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis description intends to describe the general nature and level of work performed by Teammates assigned to this job. - Serve as a strategic business partner in support of the mission, vision, and values of Buckle. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify ways to support this mission by aligning HR strategies to organizational objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment, leave of absence, benefits, insurance, safety, and other applicable laws, regulations, and requirements that apply to Buckle's Teammates and HR-related operations.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and programs that support organizational objectives, including talent acquisition and management, succession planning, employee benefits plans, employee relations and communications, learning and development, employee safety, employment practices and procedures,and employee recognition and events.
- Identify key performance indicators for Buckle's HR Team; assess the Company's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Guide the HR Team in supporting the performance management, talent acquisition, learning and development, engagement, benefits, policy, and compliance across the Company.
- Lead and develop the HR Team, including evaluating and implementing an appropriate HR Team structure that drives performance and professional growth of each HR Teammate while meeting the needs of Buckle's business.
- Partner with key stakeholders on requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR and related data to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risks.
- Provide thought leadership for enhancements to foundational diversity, equity, and inclusion work initiated within Buckle to ensure continuing growth and maturity of the Company's culture of Teammate inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and maintain budgets for all applicable primary and subareas of HR functional areas.
- Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team environment

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises Teammates in the HR department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Buckle's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required; Advance degree preferred.
- At least ten years of progressive human resource leadership management experience required, with strategic, talent development, and business management experience highly preferred.
- Experience within a national retail company highly preferred.
- SHRM-SCP preferred.

- Solid knowledge of all facets of HR. Broad and deep experience as a Senior HR Business Partner supporting executives.
