Position Available: VP of Manufacturing Operations

Your role with us:

As the VP of Manufacturing Operations for Pearson Packaging Systems, you will be a key leader in our organization, overseeing the manufacturing processes of our secondary packaging machines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient assembly, checkout, and quality testing of our custom-designed machines. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to drive operational excellence.

You enjoy collaborating with other executive team members to share the long-term vision for the manufacturing operations department as much as you enjoy walking the assembly floor and supporting your staff to ensure timely and accurate production to meet customer needs.

  • With your knowledge of production planning and resource allocation strategies, you efficiently allocate resources - labor, materials, and equipment - and develop detailed production plans and schedules that consistently meet demand.
  • Your excellent leadership and communication skills not only help you build and motivate a high-performing team but also establish you as a leader among your peers. You guide our organization in navigating the challenges of meeting production demands, ensuring sustained growth and success.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the production of custom-designed or low volume, high variability environment.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for production management.
  • Proficiency in using Excel to manage, analyze and present data.
