POSITION SUMMARY:
As Vice President of Servicing, you assist in developing and supporting the mortgage servicing department by providing insight, leadership, a collaborative team, and support to our investors and clients. This position must adhere to the guidelines and compliance guidelines set forth by the government and Member Home Loan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and PERCENT OF TIME SPENT:
Operational Oversight:
Oversee all aspects of mortgage servicing operations, including payment processing, escrow administration, loan modification, default management, and investor reporting.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and CFPB guidelines.
Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Risk Management
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational, compliance, and credit risk associated with mortgage servicing activities.
Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to identify and address potential risks. proactively.
Customer Experience
Champion a customer-centric approach to mortgage servicing, ensuring timely, and accurate resolution of customer inquiries and concerns.
Implement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience and satisfaction levels.
Vendor management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and servicing providers, including loan servicers, technology partners, and legal counsel.
Evaluate Bendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements and contractual obligations.
Financial Management:
Assist the EVP with servicing the budget, optimizing resource allocation, and controlling expenses.
Analyze financial performance metrics and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must have experience with Encompass administration
Proficient in FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA Guidelines and use of FNMA and FHLMCs automated engines
Knowledge of RESPA Guidelines to ensure staff is abreast of all changes
Must be capable of adapting, with minimal or no advance notice of changes in how business is conducted, and work is accomplished with no diminishment in work performance
Ability to maintain and demonstrate strong customer service skills
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in mortgage servicing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Proven track record of strategic planning, process improvement, and risk management.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Excellent communication skills, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in mortgage servicing software and systems. Experience with FICSs Mortgage Servicer is preferred.
