Hartmann Young is partnered with a leader in manufacturing of scientifically formulated nutritional supplements, blending extensive experience in the health and wellness sector with data-driven, on-trend solutions. The company supports major retailers and national brands with premium supplements across key trending categories such as probiotics, collagen, plant-based protein, whole food organics, and hydration.

We are partnered together to find a VP of Operations will oversee the planning, management, and optimisation of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Maintenance, Facilities, Warehousing, and Shipping. This role will focus on deploying innovative programs and processes to enhance operational efficiency. While not directly responsible for Quality or R&D, the VP of Operations will work cross-functionally with these departments to support company-wide initiatives.

The role includes P&L accountability and management of all operations staff and initiatives. The VP of Operations will drive the ongoing evolution of the organisation into a world-class, performance-driven, professionally managed organisation, supporting profitable growth and customer needs through efficient, effective programs. This individual will continue to implement change and define future organisational capabilities and technologies to maintain the company's position as a leading manufacturer.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in process engineering or production management.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in batch manufacturing and/or contract manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing production, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff to balance organizational growth with profitability.
  • Experience with Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with retail distribution models and general business practices.
