The Vice President of People Science & AI will lead the integration of advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence into our talent strategies. Your mission is to enhance employee experience, drive organizational performance, and leverage data-driven insights to drive the next best action and to serve as a strategic advisor that ensures better outcomes for our customers and helps ServiceNow make the world work.

The VP will fundamentally be responsible for four key functions across the People Org at ServiceNow; Employee Listening, AI, Research & Advanced Analytics and Program Evaluation.

We are looking for a visionary and innovative leader who enjoys being on the cutting edge of analytics, behavioral science and AI. This leader will drive forward a strategy that ensures that ServiceNow is best in class across all four functions.

The VP will share our story with customers through our “Now on Now” Program and should be an exceptional storyteller and communicator.

Some examples of priorities they will be responsible for in the short-term include:

  • Redesign of our employee listening approach.
  • Creating and packaging up a narrative story on how we are using AI in HR at ServiceNow.
  • Creating a playbook that helps our customers think through the implementation of AI.
  • Design a strategy and plan to move each of the four pillars forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a vision for People Science and AI that aligns with the overall business strategy, focusing on data-driven decision-making in HR.
  • AI Strategy: Oversee the implementation of AI tools and analytics frameworks to create better employee experiences and to increase the efficiency of HR inclusive of governance, strategy.
  • Research & Insights: Lead research initiatives to understand workforce trends and behaviors, translating data into actionable insights that inform HR strategy, practices and policies.
  • Collaboration: Partner with HR leaders and cross-functional teams (e.g. IT, Finance) to identify and prioritize key metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Talent Development: Oversee the development of training and professional development programs utilizing data insights to enhance employee skillsets and career growth.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Ensure that AI and data practices comply with legal standards and ethical guidelines, fostering trust and transparency within the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, HR analysts, and researchers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Data Science, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in HR, with a significant focus on data analytics, research, workforce planning, and AI applications.
  • Technical Skills: Experience leading a team that leverages data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) to drive research and insights. Familiarity with AI/ML principles is highly desirable. Experience with employee listening and survey research is key.
  • Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive organizational success through data-driven insights. Ability to take an unstructured problem and come up with a strategy or approach to solve it.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and mentoring diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights in an understandable and impactful manner. Ability to simplify message for non-technical audiences.
  • Change Management: Experience in leading organizational change initiatives and ensuring effective implementation of enterprise-wide programs.
