OverviewScope of Responsibilities: Plans, conducts and supervises sales team s objectives and assignments. Review progress and evaluate results with Chief Growth Officer. Operates with substantial latitude for independent action or decision.Job Summary: The Vice President of Sales is responsible for developing and executing ProAct s commercial sales strategy in a manner that supports consistent business. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, training, and managing all sales functions to achieve the company sales objectives. The VP of Sales oversees the sales team in their capacity to drive revenue through new business and consistent meeting of the standards set.ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:Working with Sales Directors, develop a comprehensive pipeline of prospectsOversee the annual operating budget for the sales department, including analysis of activities, costs, and operationsDevelop and support strategic plans and goals to grow client base and associated product linesImplement regional sales strategies nationally for new and existing accounts across all business lines Collaborate with strategic partnerships aimed at increasing salesParticipate in portfolio sales organization and initiativesDevelop and manage relationships with prospects from pre-proposal to closing of sale to meet short and long-term sales objectivesUtilize CRM and prospect tracking to enhance sales Analyze trends and develop strategies to maintain 10-15% annual growth rate in sales Increase RFP with ratios to 25%Working with Marketing team, develop a strong national marketing toolOversee and manage best and final prospect meetings with sales teamDefine terms of closed deal and communicate effects to various departments Constantly monitors the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in order to recommend tactical strategiesQualificationsEducation/Experience:Minimum: Bachelor s DegreePreferred: Master s DegreeAt least ten years of sales experience in the PBM or related industrySpecial Conditions of Employment:Drug testInitial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoringAny and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific positionRequired Training:HIPPA Privacy Course HIPPA Security CourseJob Skills Required:Sales training and experienceStrong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to balance customer needs with business goals in developing solutionsExecutive-level visioning, strategic development, and influencing skills and experienceAbility to excel as both a team lead and an individual contributorAbility to drive creative new approachesExtensive experience managing and mentoring teams of high-performing professionals across diverse disciplines such as operations, resident care, activities and other functional business areasAbility to interact with senior level management combined with strong communication and presentation skillsManagement Skills Required:Customer Service: Must provide timely and accurate responses to all business associates and customersPlanning: Must develop effective plans, objectives and goals that achieve desired results in a timely mannerOrganization: Must organize work in a systematic way, establish clear lines of responsibility, and delegate effectivelyCommunication: Must write and speak clearly and effectively at all levels, listen and be attentive to othersDecision Making: Gather, analyze data and make and/or implement effective decisions in a timely mannerTechnology: Must use technology to its fullest potential to achieve department and corporate goalsLeadership Skills Required:Leadership: Gains acceptance of ideas and accomplishes goals through subordinates, peers and teamsPersonnel Development: Selects, trains, coaches and develops associates and teams for peak performanceTeam Work: Must strengthen team performance by sharing information, establishing guidelines and celebrating successEmpowerment: Demonstrates positive and active ownership of one s responsibilities and fosters the same in othersEmployee Relations: Provides and solicits constructive feedback, evaluates performance and takes corrective action.Behavioral Traits:Intuitive/Open minded: Must be able to see opportunities, develop and implement creative solutions to complex problemsAchievement Drive/Commitment: Driven to achieve goals, objectives and results.
