Position SummaryThe Vice President of Sponsored Programs is responsible for the management and oversight of the project director team in our pursuit and implementation of sponsored programs for AIHEC by successfully proposing and directing funds to support the mission and strategic priorities of AIHEC. The incumbent will manage activities related to grants and contracts funding, establish and oversee processes to ensure compliance with funders, federal, state and accepted industry standards, provide support to administration and staff, and provide resources and training to support a culture of effective sponsored program management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience providing leadership, support, and strategic direction for all sponsored programs administration.

Preferred Education, Experience and AttributesCertified Pre-award Research Administrator (CPRA). Familiarity with the AIHEC policy environment, including public agencies, interest groups, and funding agencies.
Work LocationThis position is hybrid, approved for occasional telework, remote with routine in-person activities in support of the mission in Washington, DC and domestic US states where we have active membership.
Physical RequirementsSedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity is required to perform typical workday activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
