Position Summary:

The Vice President of Technology (VP of Technology) is responsible for overseeing the organization's enterprise and business software systems to ensure they align with strategic goals and operational needs. This role focuses on the optimization, integration, and support of enterprise applications, including ERP (NetSuite), CRM, and WMS (Korber). Working closely with the Business Process Optimization Team and business unit leaders, the VP of Technology ensures that technology solutions enhance efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. This position does not oversee IT hardware infrastructure, which is managed by the CTO and Director of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Systems and Business Applications

  • Oversee the configuration, integration, and optimization of enterprise software systems, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals.
  • Manage and improve core systems such as ERP (NetSuite), CRM, and WMS, supporting business processes across departments.
  • Ensure seamless integration and data flow between enterprise applications to maintain data consistency and availability for analytics.

Collaboration with Business Units

  • Partner with business unit leaders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure systems meet specific operational needs.
  • Work closely with the Business Process Optimization Team to identify inefficiencies, document workflows, and implement system enhancements.

Project Management and Implementation

  • Lead projects related to enterprise software, including system upgrades, customizations, and new implementations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute technology initiatives that align with company objectives.

Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and operational efficiency through process optimization and advanced configurations.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance to company goals, focusing on areas like AI readiness and automation.
  • Proactively plan for the implementation of transformative technologies that improve business outcomes.

Vendor and SLA Management

  • Manage relationships with software vendors, ensuring contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and escalations are effectively handled.
  • Evaluate vendor solutions and recommend system improvements or new tools to address evolving business needs.

Training and User Enablement

  • Develop and implement training programs for business users, ensuring they can fully utilize enterprise applications.
  • Create and maintain user documentation, guides, and troubleshooting resources to reduce dependency on IT support.

Daily Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide oversight for daily support of enterprise applications, addressing system issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Data Governance and Reporting

  • Oversee data governance practices, ensuring high-quality, consistent data is available across systems.
  • Collaborate with business units to design and maintain reporting tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software management, business systems architecture, or related leadership roles.
  • Expertise in NetSuite ERP systems, CRM, and WMS (e.g., Korber), Manufacturing, including configuration, optimization, and integration.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise software projects, from implementation to optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results and improving efficiency.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in data governance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with manufacturing workflows and AP automation tools like Medius.
  • Knowledge of B2B sales support processes and system customizations.
  • Certifications in relevant enterprise systems or project management methodologies (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, PMP).
