Position Title: VP-Patient Safety and Quality
Position Type: Contract
Location: 2301 N. Lake Drive, Milwaukee, WI, 53211
Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks and can go perm
Hours: (Day) 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
Rate: $110-$130/hour (Pay package available for travelers)
Requirements:
Education and Licensure
- Licensure: RN, MSN, PharmD, or PhD in a healthcare-related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance within a large healthcare system.
- Expertise in quality improvement methodologies, patient safety principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical processes, and evidence-based practices
Key Responsibilities
Quality and Patient Safety
- Develop and implement a quality and patient safety program aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead system-wide initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, reduce medical errors, and enhance patient experience.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for quality and safety.
Infection Prevention
- Direct the implementation of evidence-based infection prevention practices.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to reduce healthcare-associated infections and improve patient outcomes.
Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, NCQA).
- Lead preparation for regulatory surveys and accreditation visits.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
Leadership and Strategy
- Provide visionary leadership for quality, safety, and patient outcome strategies.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align initiatives with organizational objectives.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and safety data.
- Track and trend quality metrics, patient safety events, and regulatory compliance.
- Use data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and measure intervention effectiveness.
