The Commerce Payments organization is a team of highly talented product leaders focused on delivering innovative payment experiences and platforms. We're transforming customer experiences, simplifying the ways we do business, and driving toward product excellence. Our team is growing, providing opportunities to leverage your existing digital payments expertise while building new skills sets in complementary areas.

As a Vice President Product Manager for a new payment product you will create a new, seamless payment experience for customers across the Chase digital payment and commerce experiences. We're looking for people who are customer obsessed, have a strong passion to lead “start-up” efforts in large companies, and a desire to be on the forefront of digital payments and technology. In this role, you will be responsible for the full product development lifecycle, defining and shipping a product end-to-end to 60 million+ customers.

Job responsibilities:

  • Define the vision and strategy for product initiatives and features
  • Partner closely with Technology, Design, and Analytics teams to lead product development efforts
  • Define features and communicate requirements to engineering in clearly written documentation
  • Monitor against goals, identify and scope implementation paths for needed enhancements, and create remediation plans when needed
  • Manage executive stakeholder relationships and regularly communicate updates on the product strategy, progress and performance
  • Manage product backlog, production support, issue & defect resolution and prioritization
  • Collaborate with a team of cross-functional partners to ensure a strong risk and controls environment (e.g., Risk, Controls, Legal, Compliance)
  • Some positions have direct people leadership (management) responsibilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in product management and/or online/iOS/Android product development within a FinTech, start-up and/or large payment organization such as banks and networks.
  • Deep experience in online payments in any of the following: Digital wallets, money movement, card tokenization, e-commerce, fraud mitigation or point of sale technology
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and demonstrated ability to build digital products
  • Ability to think strategically while still being comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams, influencing and driving decisions
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, engineering practices, and the product development lifecycle using Agile methodologies, with proven track record of managing risk and controls
  • Hybrid in-office work schedule. Flexibility to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Business Management, Computer Science or comparable field of study
