Vice President, Revenue Cycle

Summary:

Responsible for the strategic and operational revenue cycle initiatives for Summa Health System and Summa Health Medical Group. The Vice President of Revenue Cycle is responsible for achieving and maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle process across organizational facilities. Critical responsibilities include achievement of annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of revenue cycle performance and for the organization's overall financial performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:

a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or Master's degree in hospital or business administration, accounting or related field

2. Experience & Training Required:

a. Minimum seven (7) years' experience in a similar position within the healthcare receivables field

b. Demonstrated experience in utilization of patient accounting systems, preferably Epic

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

a. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, organization, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management skills.

b. Strong knowledge of the Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, and Accounts Receivable processes

c. Self-directed, thorough, and clearly identifiable as a leader

d. Knowledge of healthcare industry financial indicators

e. Knowledge of current healthcare trends, regulations, and policies

f. Analytical skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure

g. Resource management skills, including the ability to effectively manage time, finances, materials/facilities, and personnel

h. Superior analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment

i. Expertise in Microsoft Office products

j. Ability to communicate effectively with management and staff

k. Ability to establish productive working relationships

l. Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail

m. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with medical, operational and financial departments

n. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other private payer billing regulations

o. Knowledge of government regulatory agencies

p. Ability to work independently within management guidelines

q. Ability to maintain confidentiality based on access to proprietary financial, operational and competitive information

r. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks

s. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

4. Level of Physical Demands:

a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
