Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the CEO of a leading freight solution provider with a portfolio of services to include air and ocean freight forwarding, cold storage and warehousing, customs clearance & brokerage, E-Commerce, and visibility tools. The organization is a global air freight forwarder leader and carries an impeccable reputation with temperature controlled shipments.

The Vice President, Revenue Management will lead and develop a growth strategy for sales, operations, and customer service excellence within specific verticals (Pharma, Government, Perishables). Responsibilities include driving client initiatives across key global trade lanes and working alongside local and regional management to achieve growth objectives. The successful individual will develop propositions and service concepts that create value within the context of each clients' capabilities, while leading full sales cycles and driving client base expansion and organic growth. Challenge will be to serve as industry subject matter expert to internal and external partners, leveraging and enhancing training in sales and operations with an analytical, customer-focused approach for all products and services within assigned verticals.

Background Required:

  • International freight forwarding, consolidations, and co-loading (5-10 years)
  • Success selling to freight forwarders
  • Global air freight orientation
  • Knowledge of temperature controlled freight
  • Global or key account management
  • Complex and consultative sales processes & strategies
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Trade lanes: Asia, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Middle East
  • Verticals: Pharma, Government / GSA, Perishables
  • Computer systems: Internet & Microsoft suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Los Angeles, California
  • Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Success selling to shippers.
  • Value added sales (e.g., customs brokerage, warehousing, visibility tools)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Language: Mandarin Chinese, Spanish
