This role will focus on ensuring a seamless testing, go-live, and post-go-live experience as we approach the final stages of development.The ideal candidate will have expertise in the quote-to-cash lifecycle, exceptional leadership abilities, and the technical skills to collaborate with finance and business stakeholders. Experience in financial services and prior involvement in Zuora implementations will be a significant advantage.Job ResponsibilitiesTesting and Go-Live Leadership

  • Oversee system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), back testing, and parallel testing, ensuring all workflows and integrations function as intended.
  • Drive issue resolution during testing, leveraging tools like Python and SQL for debugging and validation.
  • Develop and execute a detailed go-live plan, minimizing disruptions during deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership during the go-live phase, troubleshooting and resolving system or process issues in real time.
  • Upskill and train the Revenue & Billing team, enabling them to operate effectively with the new systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between technology and Finance, ensuring clear communication and alignment of priorities.
Post-Go-Live Optimization, Business Partnership, and Technical Development
  • Manage user roles and permissions in Zuora to ensure proper access control and system security.
  • Monitor and ensure data integrity across systems, conducting regular audits to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Oversee system updates and patch management, coordinating testing and deployment of new features or enhancements.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer service teams, resolving billing or subscription-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports in Zuora for business insights, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for post-go-live issue resolution and system enhancements.
  • Optimize system performance, workflows, and integrations to align with evolving business needs.
  • Partner with IT and operations teams to establish long-term monitoring and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to design and modify product catalogues and downstream processes, accommodating:
  • Fee schedule updates.
  • Acquisitions and new product launches.
  • Evolving business models and requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of Zuora configurations with financial and operational objectives.
  • Lead efforts to customize and enhance Zuora functionalities using Python, SQL, Apex, and Liquid to address diverse business requirements and integration needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Zuora with Salesforce and other systems in the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Create technical documentation and provide training to teams for sustainable operations.
QualificationsTechnical Skills
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience, including 5 years specifically with Zuora CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Salesforce, with the ability to customize and troubleshoot workflows.
  • Strong understanding of the quote-to-cash lifecycle, including upstream and downstream dependencies.
Industry and Functional Knowledge
  • Familiarity with financial services and subscription business models is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing fee schedules, acquisitions, and new product integrations within Zuora.
Leadership and Problem-Solving
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale system implementations, particularly during testing and go-live phases.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Zuora or Salesforce are a plus.

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $90,000 to $240,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
