Position Summary InformationPrimary Purpose:
Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (VPAA) provides critical consultation and leadership for key academic functions including promotion and tenure, academic grievances, and shared governance. The VPAA facilitates faculty support for student-centric pedagogy and practices. Through an integrated approach to the recruitment, development, and retention of faculty, the VPAA enhances opportunities for faculty professional development, supports diversity and inclusion, and maintains strong working relationships across the university, in support of faculty governance, and as designated, on behalf of the faculty. The VPAA is the essential conduit between the Office of the Provost and the faculty navigating complex issues with sensitivity and equity.

Hiring RangeHiring Range: $151,703.30 - $212,402.63 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
