Advocate Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the program through recruitment, training, scheduling, and reviewing of advocates. Advocate Coordinator is required to develop a training module and appropriately document mandatory training hours for each advocate. Advocate Coordinator will be comfortable with public speaking and presentations. Advocate Coordinator will compile and report statistical data required by RTVS, KASAP, and VOCA regulations. Advocate Coordinator must be able to relate in a non-threatening manner to victims, communicate with them and members of their family, and work with other staff members in a cooperative manner, inject new and innovative ideas into the operation of the program, maintain a sense of calmness in a crisis situation, and act appropriately in the situation.Skills / Knowledge: Victim Services Advocate Coordinator will have 40 hours of mandated training in the area of rape and sexual assault and 8 hours of continuing education annually, on issues of rape and sexual abuse. Advocate Coordinator will have training in domestic abuse, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and childhood abuse in addition to rape and sexual abuse training.Performance/Productivity Expectations:1.
