Full Time

Monday-Friday| 8:00AM-4:30PM

$25.69 Hourly

Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Victim Advocate, you will provide services to crime victims. You will report to the Program Manager or Director.

Primary Tasks:

1. You will transport clients to court, job searches, home searches, courtroom advocacy, and etc.

2. Make referrals to other programs, work with outside programs to provide services needed

3. Conduct regular home visits.

4. Follow-up home visits throughout the life of their case

5. Provide crisis intervention to assist clients with any crisis that may arise as a result of their victimization.

6. Accompany victims for SANE exams or other medical emergency needs.

7. Provide courtroom advocacy.

8. Conduct parenting/child development instruction individually or in groups, oversee Healing Circle - organizing group sessions.

9. Perform all other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in social science field and two [2] years in social work-related field, OR six [6] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.

* Victims Academy Certification

* Negotiate and mediate at a professional level

* Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, sensitivity, and responsiveness

* Knowledge of case planning, case management and writing skills.
