DescriptionThis role will be responsible for accurately engineering, designing, implementing, and estimating enterprise grade intrusion, access control, video surveillance, and supporting subsystems while adhering to classic project constraints. As a Physical Security Engineer, you must work closely with account executives, operations personnel, and end users who rely on your technical expertise to design and program adequate systems and have general knowledge of industry standards to assure compliance. You will attend planning meetings and site walks, take responsibility to create technical installation packages including a detail scope of work, and submit required material lists to purchasing for procurement of associated components; all while meeting company, customer, and industry standards.Requirements Plans, implements, and coordinates the activities for design and estimation of security solutions Support the business to validate opportunities and to provide a fit-for-purpose cost-effective solution i.e. determine best product solution design for the opportunity Design medium to large scale electronic security projects, as well as assist with technical estimation on small scale projects and maintenance Support the business through the sales cycle from start to finish Provide comprehensive project documentation to ensure professional transition from install to everyday use Always represent the company in positive light, building positive relationships with customers Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field Previous experience in ACS, CCTV, Intercom, and Intrusion detection systems, and Retention Center Basic understanding of Networks and how they function Experience as project engineer for implementations 5+ years' experience in professional services industry, including Engineering, Information Technology, or related field Travel within the region and/or throughout the country is required Must maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record Must pass an extensive background check (CJIS, PERC) and/or drug screening tests Must have or obtain OSHA Construction Industry 10-Hour DOL Card
