Job Description
General Functions
Performs responsible work supervising and directing shift personnel engaged in providing visitation for the public and inmates. This position acts as liaison between correctional personnel and upper management. The Supervisor maintains a customer service orientated environment that provides assistance, guidance and information regarding all aspects of the correctional department.
Representative Duties/Assignments
* Supervises and directs the work of subordinate staff on specific shift.
* Completes and submits payroll information for processing.
* Receives, reviews, processes and/or submits a variety of documents and reports.
* Ensures visitation policies and procedures are enforced including recording of visits as requested by management.
* Assists staff with calling inmates to carrels and making appointments when necessary.
* Contacts appropriate personnel for problems with carrels, software, hardware, etc.
* Completes shift schedules and adjusts when needed to ensure minimum manning is maintained.
* Conducts employee counseling sessions, completes paperwork for disciplinary actions, and completes evaluations.
* Provides customer support and problem resolution for correctional personnel and the public.
* Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent and two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity and two (2) years of experience in a customer service job. An Associate's degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to complete all training required by Orange County Corrections Department. Performance evaluations must be on target or above during the previous year. Must not have disciplinary action exceeding a written reprimand during the previous year.
Must have a vaild drivers license.
Preferences
Prefer applicants with a good working knowledge of the Correctional Department and proficiency with the IMS computer network and the visitation software system.

Pay Grade: 014 - From $22.51 to $29.26
