General Summary of Position Entry-level videographer who works closely with the Senior Videographer to ensure video production is successful for MedStar Health. The Videographer I is responsible for the creation, development, and production of video and audio content, both in the SiTEL studio and on-location at various MedStar Health locations. This role involves the full spectrum of video production, including shooting, editing, and producing. The ideal candidate will either possess or be eager to learn skills in pre-production and post-production tasks, including storyboarding, shot planning, and logistical coordination. \r\r Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Video Production: Film, edit, and produce high-quality video and audio content for internal and external projects. This includes both studio-based and on-location shoots.Pre-Production: Assist with storyboarding, shot planning, and logistics. Research project topics, draft interview questions, and synthesize information quickly and accurately for scriptwriting.Post-Production: Identify key soundbites and impactful elements of research when writing scripts. Source and create additional media assets to support the message and objectives of the video.Talent Management: Select and direct talent, including actors and voiceover artists, to achieve the desired results.Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project managers to ensure video content meets objectives and aligns with MedStar Health's standards.Travel & Schedule: Travel to various MedStar Health locations and work outside of SiTEL's core office hours as necessary for video production.Equipment Operation: Competently operate production tools and equipment, including professional cameras, external monitors, teleprompters, lenses, filters, stabilization gear (e.g., gimbals, tripods), and audio gear.Set Management: Comfortable with typical grip tasks, such as mounting and adjusting lighting using flags, C-stands, and other tools to achieve the desired look.Post-Production Expertise: Proficient in video editing software and knowledgeable about computer operation, file types, and hardware required for video production.Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask, especially on set when managing multi-faceted projects.Teamwork: Acts as part of a video crew on productions. \r\r \r Minimum Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree In visual or digital arts, videography, related field or equivalent work experience. required
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

- 1-2 years Experience with video production or animation, or field audio mixing/capture is required. 1 year of experience as part of a Production crew or camera operation is preferred. required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
\r \r Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills. \rStrong understanding of professional video and audio equipment, lighting techniques, and production tools. \rMS Office or other document creation suite.\rExperience or willingness to learn the full video production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production duties.\rAnimation and motion graphics knowledge is a plus. \rA portfolio is required to demonstrate competency.\rAdobe Creative Cloud Suite experience is a plus, and in use. \rGreat organizational skills.\r
