Job Title:VideographerSupervisor:VP of Broadcast and Digital MediaCompany:PRCA - PropertiesDepartment:MediaFLSA Status:Non-exemptDate:12/27/2024Hourly Range:$30.29 to $34.61ONSITE POSITION - NOT A REMOTE OR HYBRID POSITIONJob Summary:The videographer role captures and edits rodeo footage into high-quality finished videos used to inform, entertain, and engage on social media, YouTube, broadcast television and all PRCA related media. Videographer works closely with media and marketing teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Success in this role will be demonstrated by producing audience appropriate videos to expand market reach and increase viewer engagement. Essential Duties:
  • Travels to events to shoot video and produce content.
  • Creates and produces content for brand and event promotions.
  • Creates evergreen and episodic video content for prorodeo.com and YouTube.
  • Organizes and forwards content for online press room.
  • Collaborates with PRCA media on creative storytelling.
  • Captures high-quality video footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment.
  • Designs, transports, sets up, and operates production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
  • Edit and produce videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and other editing software.
  • Create motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects.
  • Manage and organize video files and assets.
  • Ensures video projects are completed on time and meet the required specifications,
  • Recording and editing video content such as interviews, narration, and music track.
  • Performs post-production tasks.
  • Works with the marketing team to create audio/video content for use in marketing materials.
  • Works with the sales team to create audio/video content for use in sales materials.
  • Works with the management team to create new audio content for use in meetings or presentations.
  • Posts video and audio content to social channels and YouTube, etc.
  • Maintains organization of studio equipment and keeps all equipment in working order.
  • Maintains organization of filing system for digital audio assets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in film, broadcasting, communication or related field and 3 years' experience as professional videographer or similar role. Additional experience and strength of portfolio may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience withvideo editing software including FinalCut Pro, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and others.
  • Experience with streaming software and its principles.
  • Experience with applicable camera and video equipment.
  • Strong understanding of pre- and post-production techniques.
  • Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work non-traditional days and hours.
  • Ability to travel.
Work Environment:Works in office environment with frequent travel to events in and out of state. Physical Demands: This is a sedentary role; however, movement and lifting are required. Position requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs to carry, lift, and pack equipment, and set up camera equipment and tripods. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and stand.
