Full-time, Mid-Senior level, salary range DOE $70,000- $105,000, HybridSoundview Consultants is a well-respected Environmental Consulting Firm with 15 years of serving our clients and communities. Vernon, and Cle Elum Washington are focused primarily on natural resources assessments, environmental planning, permitting, and compliance services for projects with an aquatic regulatory nexus.SVC specializes in both marine and land use solutions; site planning, project design, project coordination, regulatory permitting, and project planning management; marine, wetland, and stream ecology; habitat restoration; wetland, stream, tree, and eelgrass delineations and assessments; benthic surveys; underwater and terrestrial-monitoring programs, mitigation planning, landscape architecture, and arborist services.Soundview Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Restoration Engineer to join our growing team! The candidate will have a home office of Mt. Vernon, Washington. Some schedule options may look like: 5íâ 8's 4x 10's or 4x 9's with a remote half day on Fridays. And your weekends are always YOURS!DESCRIPTION:Manage a range of environmental projects involving wetlands, streams, protected habitats, and marine shorelines. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory personnel. Prior project management experience in the environmental industry and possess good technical writing skills. Collaborate with fellow team members daily. Support and learn from existing Project Managers, Associate Principals, and Principals; typical tasks include performing wetland and stream delineations, coaching field crews, researching environmental regulations, developing project strategies, preparing environmental permit applications, managing internal mapping and design needs, and writing/reviewing technical scientific documentation.A senior-level hire (10+ years) may start managing wetland, shoreline, and habitat projects immediately with the full support of our group of environmental professionals.Collaboratively work with co-workers, clients, and partners (such as civil and geotechnical engineers, surveyors, architects, archaeologists, and planners) to provide design and permitting support for a wide variety of public and private development and land use projects. Representative project components include: wetland assessments, compensatory wetland mitigation plans, stream restoration plans, threatened and endangered species surveys, shoreline assessments and restoration plans, tree retention plans, landscape design, and similar environmental permitting support.DUTIES:Lead and support habitat restoration and fish passage planning, analysis, and design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.5+ years of experience on river, stream, estuary, and coastal restoration projects providing project management, field assessments, data collection and analysis, fluvial geomorphology, and restoration design and construction.Project management of water resources, fish passage, floodplain, and habitat restoration projects.Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic analysis.Manage and participate in the collection of field data; complete complex analyses and calculations both independently and with oversight.Prepare design documents and specifications for restoration projects with oversight.Development and technical review of project work and reports as well as assisting in the development of proposals and project budgets.Develop construction planning and observation documentation.Provide direction to and oversight of field biologists performing wetland, stream, habitat, and shoreline delineations and assessments.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:B.S. in Environmental Sciences (e.g., biology, wetland science, ecology), Planning, or other applicable degree.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in planning, consulting, or project management.An understanding of and experience with fluvial, coastal, floodplain, and estuarine systems is required, as well as experience with GIS and CAD platforms and standard hydrologic, hydraulic, and modeling and analysis software.Comprehensive understanding of wetland assessment methodology, freshwater, marine, and terrestrial ecology, wetland and stream mitigation, and relevant regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Shoreline Management Act, Growth Management Act, Endangered Species Act, and SEPA/NEPA.Technology savvy and computer literacy at a moderate level with MS Office Products, with proficiency in Outlook and Word.Strong interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities.Client satisfaction focus.Project Budget tracking.Self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to completion.Valid WA State Driver's License (or ability to obtain) and reliable personal transportation.Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.BENEFITS ASSOCIATED:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401K with annual Company contribution up to 3%.PTO (Paid Time Off).Paid Company Holidays.Group Life Insurance.Long-Term Disability and Workers' Compensation.EAP (Employee Assistance Program).ERP (Employee Referral Program).PAY /SALARY:Depending on relative experience, knowledge, and skills.Range Annual Salary $70,000-$105,000.Eligible for bi-annual bonusing based on performance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
