About the position

As a Used Car Technician you will perform mechanical repairs on trade-ins as well as auction purchases in order to them to become front line ready. You will be responsible for performing a Used Car Inspection and make recommendations to ensure the safety and quality of vehicles for sale. Duties

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses the cause of most malfunctions and performs repair.
• Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Persistent, competitive and have a good work ethic
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

Automotive Technician / Mechanic Qualifications

• Automotive dealership experience is preferred
• Valid Virginia State Inspector's license.
• Ability to work well in a process driven environment
• Strong commitment to provide exceptional customer service
• Valid drivers license. Must be insurable on company insurance policy
• Ability to perform inspections that may require bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
