Virtual Registration CoordinatorPosition Summary The Virtual Registration Coordinator serves as the first point of support for patients using Registration Kiosks for clinic and therapy appointments as well as being a liaison between the patients using the technology and the onsite registration team. This position may also be responsible for insurance verifications/authorizations and working with the clinic leader to ensure smooth operations. Primary Functions & Accountabilities
- Answer video chat/Teams calls from onsite kiosk devices and assist patients with completing check in through kiosk.
- Communicate with onsite registration coordinators when a patient needs to see them to finalize registration with something needed in person (cash copay, medical history tablet, collection account review, etc)
- Review schedules in advance to streamline kiosk registration process for patients eligible to use the kiosk.
- Monitor kiosk check ins through concierge system and on Department Appointment Report (DAR) to ensure accurate workflow of patients on the kiosk.
- Manage and work queues to ensure completion and accuracy of registration information to include Patient, Claim Edit and Charge Review work queues.
- Ensure accurate patient information, verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and payments are provided and processed through Registration Kiosks
- Serve as liaison between patients and the onsite registration and clinical staff to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service.
- Adhere to established procedures for appointment scheduling, intake, and record-keeping for all patients
- Communicate with providers, medical assistants, financial counselors, patient resource coordinators and other support staff as needed
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of insurance plan participation and ensures appropriate processing of insurance information
- Ability to work flexible schedules to meet clinic needs

- Must be able to understand and explain most insurance and billing questions as it pertains to the patient
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant office experience; Medical office experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; Typing speed of at least 35 WPM with high accuracy
- Must be able to work onsite in an OV Facility
