University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: College of Arts, Sciences & Engineering: School of Arts & Sciences: Mathematics**Salary Range or Pay Grade**$55,000 - $56,000**Description**The Department of Mathematics at the University of Rochester invites applications for several non-tenuretrack Visiting Assistant Professor positions for new or recent PhDs. The positions are for two years, renewable for a third upon satisfactory performance, and carry a 2-2 annual teaching load. Qualifications include a PhD in mathematics, strong evidence of excellence in the teaching of undergraduates, and outstanding promise in research. **Areas represented by the department, including (1) algebraic topology, (2) analysis, (3) combinatorics, (4) differential geometry and global analysis, (5) number theory, and (6) probability, will be preferred. Please indicate your area using ONLY the number next to your field of study, (use 7 for other) in the Program/Discipline area on the University Base Application Form .**Consideration of applicants will begin November 20, 2023, and continue until the positions are filled.These consist of a curriculum vitae, research and teaching statements, four letters of recommendation (with at least one providing evidence of teaching excellence), a statement of your commitment to advancing equity and fostering an inclusive and diverse community, including past work and future goals and a copy of student teaching evaluation scores and any other teaching awards or distinctions.
